Mandy Fitzgerald is a Painting and Printmaking major at the #1 public art school in the country, Virginia Comonweath University. While developing her own style as a fine artist, Mandy started FitzyFace as a way to make extra money for painting supplies through completing commissions. Since FitzyFace's creation in 2008, Mandy has sold various original works along with commisions. Her hope is to eventually sell all original artwork.
In 2010 Mandy Fitzgerald submitted a proposal for the Undergraduate Student Grant for the 2010-11 school year with her partner Virginia Wood. The two were given over $1,000 in funds to create an installation that will serve as a fundraiser for Alzheimer's Disease. The installation consists of 84 portraits of friends and family and is set to be displayed in November of 2011, location TBA.
Pricing is based on a combination of materials used and time spent.
The artist asks that 25% of the estimated price is paid at the inception of the project. Balance is due at completion and delivery of your artwork.
